Married, Single, Other storms the Royal Television Society Yorkshire Awards.
The event, which was set up to recognise programme-making in the region, saw the ITV show triumph in the ‘Drama or Entertainment’ category.
The series, which starred Lucy Davis and Ralf Little, beat Wuthering Heights and Heartbeat to scoop the prize.

ITV axes ‘Married, Single, Other’?

Married, Single, Other has been axed by ITV, a cast member seemed to confirm yesterday.
Amanda Abbington, who played Babs in the romantic dramedy, revealed the news on the show’s Facebook fan site. However, ITV has not yet confirmed the news.
She posted: “Just to let all the Married, Single, Other fans know there will not be another series. ITV has refused to commission another one.”

They met while filming the romantic comedy series Married Single Other. Now it appears that the relationship between stars Miranda Raison and Ralf Little has fallen firmly into the ‘other’ category.
Miranda, 30, who previously appeared in the BBC drama Spooks, is understood to have moved into Ralf’s £500,000 West London home.
The pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in the sunshine last week, dressed casually and wearing dark glasses.

Six-part romantic comedy drama, Married Single Other, tells the story of three couples trying to work out what a couple is these days.
Gina invites Harry to go out dancing. Harry, who is secretly in love with Gina, is delighted. But Gina’s motivations aren’t the same as Harry’s, and he sets himself up for a fall.
Dickie, trying to be alone and lonely in his trailer, is interrupted enough times to venture into the world. Convinced by Gina that it’s time to move on, he meets a girl out shopping. Meanwhile, Babs remembers the good times, but when she decides to go and see Dickie that evening, she’s confronted with something she didn’t want to see.
Clint is delighted with his self control – he only kissed the cage dancer! But when Abbey witnesses a text message from “Fabiana”, she views the situation differently. Clint realises for the first time in his life that he is in love, and goes to extreme lengths, and heights, to win Abbey back.
Married Single Other – Episode 3: Burning Rubber

Lillie (Lucy Davis) has been suspended from work since Mr Connelly (Neil Bell) claimed she attacked him outside the Women’s Shelter. It’s now the day of her tribunal and things aren’t looking good. It appears the Women’s Shelter will have to fire her to avoid an expensive legal battle.
To make matters worse, Connelly arrives at the tribunal and taunts Lillie about losing her job. It’s clear Connelly is faking his injuries but Lillie needs a way to prove it.
Babs (Amanda Abbington) tries to give Lillie some moral support. At the tribunal she acts as a character witness but her ‘expert assessment’ on Lillie doesn’t go down well. But just when Lillie thinks her career is over, Babs finds the evidence Lillie needs to clear her name.

Married Single Other – Episode 2: Dinner for Six

Everyone knows Babs (Amanda Abbington) and Dickie (Dean Lennox Kelly) have great sex. Particularly Gina (Leila Mimmack), Babs’ 16 year old daughter, who sleeps in a room one cardboard-wall away from them. But great sex isn’t enough for Babs anymore, she needs financial security and Dickie has stacked up £4000 in unpaid credit.
Dickie hopes his problems with Babs will blow over by winning his way back into her heart and her bed, but for now he is forced to sleep in his newly purchased motorised-skip-slash-classic Winnebago.
