Final Episode.

The comedy drama series reaches its conclusion with an eventful episode that turns the lives of many of the characters upside down.

From romantic entanglements to surprising upheavals, there is a lot going on in the world of Eddie, Lillie, Babs, Dickie, Clint and Abbey.

Dickie moves on again, but this time with a familiar Brazilian girl who may be looking for someone else entirely. It is up to Clint to try to keep her identity hidden and figure out what she wants before anyone – especially Abbey – works out who she really is.

Elsewhere, events take an unexpected turn, which leads to several of the group re-examining their lives and juggling their relationships into new patterns.

This hit show gets to the heart of modern relationships, and stars some of Britain’s top actors, including Amanda Abbington, Dean Lennox Kelly, Ralf Little, Miranda Raison, Shaun Dooley and Lucy Davis.

As the first series comes to an end, catch up with the characters as they redefine coupledom and family, with one eye on the future and one on the past.

Eddie (Shaun Dooley), who had the perfect day all worked out, is shattered when the reality of the “Millennium Community Centre” hits home. Luckily Harry has a moment of clarity, and with Flo’s (Gina Yashere) help, he and Eddie set out to create the best wedding in the world in twenty four hours and for no money whatsoever.

Meanwhile, Babs melts down over her inability to speak in public, Dickie finds an innovative way to decorate the Winnie (and a way of testing out its newfound romantic capabilities), Harry proves to Gina that Eros is not good enough for her, and Clint (Ralf Llittle) is haunted once again by the Brazilian cage dancer, Fabiana (Oona Chaplin)…

Six-part romantic comedy drama, Married Single Other, tells the story of three couples trying to work out what a couple is these days.

Gina invites Harry to go out dancing. Harry, who is secretly in love with Gina, is delighted. But Gina’s motivations aren’t the same as Harry’s, and he sets himself up for a fall.

Dickie, trying to be alone and lonely in his trailer, is interrupted enough times to venture into the world. Convinced by Gina that it’s time to move on, he meets a girl out shopping. Meanwhile, Babs remembers the good times, but when she decides to go and see Dickie that evening, she’s confronted with something she didn’t want to see.

Clint is delighted with his self control – he only kissed the cage dancer! But when Abbey witnesses a text message from “Fabiana”, she views the situation differently. Clint realises for the first time in his life that he is in love, and goes to extreme lengths, and heights, to win Abbey back.

Monday, 8 March 2010, 9:00PM - 10:00PM

Lillie (Lucy Davis) has been suspended from work since Mr Connelly (Neil Bell) claimed she attacked him outside the Women’s Shelter. It’s now the day of her tribunal and things aren’t looking good. It appears the Women’s Shelter will have to fire her to avoid an expensive legal battle.

To make matters worse, Connelly arrives at the tribunal and taunts Lillie about losing her job. It’s clear Connelly is faking his injuries but Lillie needs a way to prove it.

Babs (Amanda Abbington) tries to give Lillie some moral support. At the tribunal she acts as a character witness but her ‘expert assessment’ on Lillie doesn’t go down well. But just when Lillie thinks her career is over, Babs finds the evidence Lillie needs to clear her name.

Lillie and Eddie’s (Shaun Dooley) genius son, Joe (Jack Scanlon) suffers from some mild bullying at school, in the form of being cling-filmed to various static objects. Joe doesn’t mind too much because he believes it allows him time to think. When he’s cling-filmed to a lamp post in the school grounds yet again Gina (Leila Mimmack) decides she is going to teach him how to be ‘ordinary’. Gina enlists the help of Joe’s older brother, Harry (Tom Kane) and together they find a way to stop Joe being bullied.

Clint (Ralf Little) has been going out with Abbey (Miranda Rasison) for 29 days but she still won’t sleep with him. Clint is desperate to have sex and can’t understand why Abbey won’t put out. He comes to the conclusion that Abbey must be working a points system that allows him to qualify as her boyfriend if he does enough good deeds.

It’s Dickie (Dean Lennox Kelly) and Bab’s wedding anniversary, and Dickie is not taking it well. He is still living in the Winnebago and Babs won’t allow him back home or accept his anniversary gift. Dickie becomes increasingly depressed as he realises that this time his break up with Babs might be for real.

Still looking to score extra points with Abbey, Clint decides to take Dickie out to a club to help take his mind off Babs. Dickie is not in the mood to be cheered up and mopes at the bar all evening before going home early. A sexually frustrated Clint finds it hard to keep his self-control, and when he meets a beautiful Brazillian cage dancer, Fabiana (Oona Chaplin) he is more than tempted.

Abbey invites the girls over for cocktails and admits she plans to sleep with Clint at midnight, exactly 30 days after they first got together. Will Clint realise in time?

Meanwhile, Eddie is working double shifts to make up for LiIlie’s suspension from the Women’s Shelter. He and Flo (Gina Yashere) have a frustrating day tending to a series of trivial patients that hardly qualify for an ambulance. Finally, at the end of the day, they pick up a young female patient who really is sick. And in doing so, Eddie discovers something that will potentially change all of their lives, forever.

Everyone knows Babs (Amanda Abbington) and Dickie (Dean Lennox Kelly) have great sex. Particularly Gina (Leila Mimmack), Babs’ 16 year old daughter, who sleeps in a room one cardboard-wall away from them. But great sex isn’t enough for Babs anymore, she needs financial security and Dickie has stacked up £4000 in unpaid credit.

Dickie hopes his problems with Babs will blow over by winning his way back into her heart and her bed, but for now he is forced to sleep in his newly purchased motorised-skip-slash-classic Winnebago.

Clint (Ralf Little) hasn’t heard from Abbey (Miranda Raison) since they kissed one week ago and it’s driving him crazy. He decides to ask the others for advice on how “nice guys” would take the fledgling relationship to the next level. Lillie suggests a dinner party but Clint is unconvinced.

When Abbey finally calls, Clint finds himself agreeing to cook dinner for her and his friends at his house that evening. Can Clint really learn to cook, change his image and lifelong habits, and convince Babs’ and Dickie to attend together before the day is out?

Meanwhile, Lillie (Lucy Davis) is shocked to discover she is suspended from work as her attacker, Mr Connelly (Neil Bell), is suing the shelter. Eddie (Shaun Dooley), as always, looks on the bright side and suggests she spends her time off planning for their wedding and sends Joe (Jack Scanlon) on an errand to buy a bookcase full of wedding magazines. Faced with planning the wedding or busying herself with something else, Lillie chooses the latter. Once there are no more chores for her to do at home she offers to help Clint get ready for his dinner party.

Joe is upset that Lillie doesn’t seem to want to work on the wedding arrangements and tells Eddie of his concern. Sparked by Dickie and Babs’ break up, Eddie becomes paranoid that Lillie has changed her mind about getting married.

With the evidence of Clint’s past skilfully removed by Lillie, and the food ordered at a local curry house, Clint is finally ready for his dinner party. Lillie and Eddie arrive first, followed closely by Dickie and Babs. Following a quick briefing from Clint on what to say and how to behave (or not to behave) the doorbell rings and a nervous Clint answers the door to Abbey.

The dinner party begins without a hitch and Abbey is impressed by the effort Clint has put into the evening. But just as everything seems to be going so well, events take a turn for the worse…
